About

It is a common understanding that the purpose of a scientist is to: find good questions, try to answer them, and repeat this process. Towards the end of my studies I implemented these steps and asked myself this question again: “Why did I become a scientist?” which led me to subsequent question “Am I a scientist?

I was born in Tehran, Iran, 1988. At the age of 9, I moved with my family to Birmingham, UK where we resided for 4 years. Upon return to Iran, I continued my studies until I graduated from Tehran Polytechnic with a bachelors degree in Polymer Science and Engineering. From there, I moved to Stockholm, Sweden where I obtained a masters degree in Macromolecular Materials. After a brief 6 months residency in Waterloo, Canada, I moved to Zurich, Switzerland where I completed a doctorate degree in Materials Science.

At this point in my journey, I am seeking to understand the relationship between art and science, and what they mean to me and the world.
